Bloomfield Info to relaunch as The Jersey Bee in September

Bloomfield Info Project will take a brief hiatus from daily publishing until September to reemerge as The Jersey Bee.

After more than three years of serving our community with information, engagement, and advocacy, Bloomfield Info Project will take a brief hiatus from daily publishing until September. But this pause is for a good cause – we are gearing up to reemerge, bigger and better, as The Jersey Bee!

Since its inception, Bloomfield Info has been an essential resource for our community, connecting people with their neighbors, local events, and opportunities to improve their daily lives. Your overwhelming support and engagement have been instrumental in our journey.

Our award-winning daily newsletter has delivered more than 12,000 local news summaries to our community since April 2020. You’ve helped the audience for the Daily Bulletin grow from 75 to more than 1,000 households. And it’s thanks to your support we’ve established a reputation as a trusted source of local news and info.

One of our most significant accomplishments has been partnering with you, the members of our community, to report on local events and issues. Our community journalism program has held numerous workshops, training more than 40 residents to canvas, document public meetings, and produce reporting that meetings local info needs. Your insights, expertise, and stories have enabled our work – for which we could not be more grateful.

Though we are stopping operations as Bloomfield Info, we will return with renewed vision and commitment to our mission as The Jersey Bee, including the same services you’ve come to expect and more. We’re confident that with your continued engagement and support, we’ll be able to create an even stronger platform for our community.

If you’d like to support our re-brand and expansion, we welcome it. Areas we need help with include fundraising, marketing, and community engagement. Email our engagement coordinator Nikki Villafane at nikki@bloomfieldinfo.org to see how you could get involved.

We’re excited about this new chapter and look forward to serving you again in September.
