“Magic Carpet” children’s club session planned at East Orange Family Success Center on Sep. 29. It is from 12-1:30 p.m. at 132 S. Harrison St. The program is meant to help children read, imagine, and create. Free admission. Registration is required.

Esney Davis-Sharpe pleaded guilty to providing gynecological services without a medical license at Bessie Mae Women and Family Health Center in East Orange. Davis-Sharpe submitted about 2,500 Meidcaid claims for gynecological services under the names of licensed doctors, according to state authorities. Davis-Sharpe owned and operated the center. It is now closed. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 5.

Black History 101 Mobile Museum will be at DeHart Community Center on Oct. 3-4 in Maplewood. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It includes a collection of documents signed by Martin Luther King Jr., Angela Davis, Carter G. Woodson, Mary Mcleod Bethune, and more.
