Davis-Sharpe pleaded guilty to providing gynecological services without medical license

Esney Davis-Sharpe pleaded guilty to providing gynecological services without a medical license at Bessie Mae Women and Family Health Center in East Orange. Davis-Sharpe submitted about 2,500 Meidcaid claims for gynecological services under the names of licensed doctors, according to state authorities. Davis-Sharpe owned and operated the center. It is now closed. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 5.
