Eligible families can apply for N.J.’s Child Tax Credit using SimpleFile, a website recently launched by Gov. Mikie Sherrill. Applicants must have been a full-year resident in 2025, earned less than $20,000 if filing with a spouse or $10,000 if filing single, and is not required to file a full federal or state tax return. People using Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers are eligible to claim benefits. Applications are available in English and Spanish.
