Essex County plans food distribution Dec. 18 and 22 in Newark and West Orange

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders will present two special Emergency Food Distribution Events to help families negatively impacted by the Coronavirus. On Thursday, December 17th, individuals will receive a case of water with their emergency food box. On Tuesday, December 22nd, individuals will receive a special holiday food box and a frozen turkey. The events are meant to benefit families who have been forced out of work and are not able to afford food.

Essex County to distribute almost 3,000 turkeys at Branch Brook food distribution Nov. 24

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders will present a special Thanksgiving Emergency Food Distribution Event to help families negatively impacted by the Coronavirus. There will be almost 3,000 frozen turkeys and boxes of non-perishable food distributed at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center in Essex County Branch Brook Park. The program is meant to benefit families who have been forced out of work and are not able to afford food.
