DiVincenzo, Jr. announced that the 2021 Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival in Essex County Branch Brook Park in Newark will be held virtually because of the ongoing conditions created by the pandemic. The County Executive is proud to welcome Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey as the premiere sponsor of the virtual festival.

There will be 1,000 frozen turkeys and boxes of non-perishable food distributed at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center in Essex County Branch Brook Park. The program is meant to benefit families who have been forced out of work and are not able to afford food.

DiVincenzo, Jr. announced a new initiative to provide vaccinations to teachers and school support staff working at public, private, charter and parochial schools in Essex County.
