Essex County accepting applications for 2021 Emergency Rental Assistance Program

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced that Essex County is accepting applications for the 2021 Essex County Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). Renters and landlords who have been negatively impacted during the Coronavirus pandemic and need help to pay rent or utility bills can apply for funding. Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. invites all non-professional and professional senior citizen artists residing in Essex County to participate in the 2021 Essex County Senior Citizens Juried Art Show and Exhibition. The deadline to submit artwork is Wednesday, September 1st.

Essex County announces COVID-19 assistance grants for public service nonprofit agencies

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced that $474,450 in grant funding is being made available to not for profit agencies through the Essex County COVID-19 Assistance Grant for Public Service Not for Profit Agencies. The program is aimed to support not for profit agencies and the programs they provided to assist clients who were negatively impacted during the pandemic. The deadline to apply for the first round of funding is Tuesday, July 21st at 6 p.m. Applications can be accessed at EssexCountyNJ.org and selecting the link for "Essex County COVID-19 Assistance Grant for Public Service Not for Profit Agencies."

Essex County announces Senior Legacies Writing Contest winners

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced the four winners and four honorable mention recipients of the 2021 Essex County Senior Citizen Legacies Writing Contest. Normally announced in May during Older Americans Month, the awards were delayed because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Essex County announces Wellness on the Waterfront

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs announced a month-long schedule of free activities to celebrate July as National Parks and Recreation Month. The County Executive invites the public to enjoy "Wellness on the Waterfront," which includes yoga demonstrations, concerts, movies, and arts and crafts at the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex in July.
