Turtle Back Zoo’s new lemur exhibit recently opened in West Orange after renovations of the former sea lion stage. The area now includes a jungle environment in the repurposed pool area, three species of lemurs, and Aldabra tortoises.

Bloomfield plans virtual information session about rodent mitigation efforts in the township on Jul. 30. The event, scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. and will be streamed on the township’s Facebook page, will feature information from Bloomfield’s health department and public works department about the township’s rodent mitigation efforts. Questions for public officials can be submitted in advance online.

Library card holders can borrow these passes which offer free admission for two adults and all children under 18 in the same household to the museum. Orange public schools is hosting a donation drive for families impacted by a recent fire in Orange until Jul. 30. They are seeking donations of toiletries and personal care items, new or gently used clothes, house items like laundry detergent, baby supplies, blankets and sleeping bags. Donations can be dropped off at the district administrative offices located at 451 Lincoln Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
