PVSC deployed boat to collect and offload debris along Passaic River

From Patch-Newark.

Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission is using a 48-foot boat designed to roam the lower Passaic River, collect debris, and offload it at a PVSC-owned dock in North Arlington. The boat can carry up to 5,000 pounds of garbage. It is meant to help keep the river free of floating garbage as debris continues to enter the stream from changing tides, stormwater runoff, and other factors, according to the PVSC.
