CareWell Health Medical Center opened a new medical laboratory in East Orange. It is located at 240 Central Ave. The laboratory provides diagnostic testing for blood chemistry, hormone and immune system analysis, blood cell counts, and more.

“Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration” planned with Essex County Board of County Commissioners on Sep. 9 in Newark. It begins at 6 p.m. at Essex County Hall of Records and will honor Miryam A. Torres, Madeline Guthrie, Jamille Hernandez, and Antonia Lerdo. There will be a musical performance by Payne Tech student Zoe Alexa Arroyabe.
