“Work Ready: The Hidden Rules of Getting Hired After Incarceration” workshop planned at Newark library on Sep. 3 in the Main Branch. It is from 6-7 p.m. Attendees will learn ways to secure employment and overcome work barriers. Registration is required. Free admission. Library card not required.

Eligible Newark residents can submit a preliminary application for affordable housing at 45 William St. Available affordable housing units include one one-bedrooms and one two-bedrooms. Preliminary applications available online.
Newark City
Eligible Newark youth up to age 17 can receive free vaccinations with the city’s health department through Sep. 19. It is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 110 William St., Room 108. Appointments are not required.
