Free screenings for blood pressure and glucose planned with Mountainside Medical Center on Aug. 18 in Montclair. It is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Montclair library’s Main Branch. No fasting necessary. Registration not required.

Students in grades 10-12 can apply to join Montclair Film’s 2026 “Junior Jury” through Sep. 21. Program participants will be a part of the 2026 Montclair Film Festival and meet industry professionals, learn how to analyze and judge films, and receive free access to select films. Applications available online.

Youth can attend acting classes planned at NJSDA starting Sep. 26 in Montclair. Classes include acting 101, musical theater, and acting for television and film, and improv. All classes are held at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Registration is available online.

Orange seeks community feedback on health, quality-of-life, and planning priorities in an online survey. Responses will inform the city’s planning policies, programs, and investments to improve health equity outcomes. The survey comes after Orange received a Plan4HealthNJ grant, which is a statewide initiative led by NJ-American Planning Association. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole.
