Movie screening of “Spy Kids” planned with Montclair Film on Aug. 12 and Aug. 15. This screening is part of Montclair Film’s Bellevue Summer Blockbusters series. It begins at 11 a.m. at The Bellevue Theater, 260 Bellevue Ave. Tickets are $11 and available online for purchase.

Students in grades 3-7 can attend the Young Innovators STEM Program, scheduled for Aug. 12-14 and Aug. 19-21. Enrollment is $60 per week. Snack and drinks included. The program will discuss engineering and coding and game design. It is located at Kidville, 516 Valley Rd.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers recently made five arrest in Belleville along Rutgers Street and Van Reyper Place, according to Belleville Mayor Frank Vélez. Essex County health is offering vaccines for eligible children on Aug. 13 in Maplewood. Vaccinations are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maplewood health department. New Jersey landlords cannot use algorithmic software to set rent prices, according to a law recently signed by Gov. Mikie Sherrill. The Forbidding the Algorithmic Inflation of Rent, or FAIR, Act was passed after the state and U.S. Department of Justice sued AI-powered property management software RealPage for violating antitrust laws, which resulted in a $360 million settlement. FAIR Act is meant to regulate housing costs and prevent additional increased costs.
