Maplewood approved two ordinances, or local laws, restricting cooperation with federal immigration officers. One ordinance restricts federal officers from accessing designated municipal areas and documents, including government records. The second ordinance is the Maplewood Immigrant Trust Act, which protects residents’ privacy. It also complies with the N.J.
