Celebration for community members who have completed the the Rutgers Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Master Gardeners of Essex County introduction to urban agriculture course planned on Jul. 28 at East Orange library. It is from 5:30-7 p.m. and will feature a certificate presentation and community celebration.

Community workshop about restoration urbanism and development history planned with University of Orange starting Jul. 27. The program meets on Mondays until Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 25 Cleveland St. in Orange. The workshop will be led by Dr. Mia White, Dr. Mindy Fullilove and Molly Rose Kaufman. Essex County children can receive health screenings and vaccines on Jul. 30 in Irvington. It is from 3-6:30 p.m. at Irvington health department. There will be free physical exams, vision screenings, hearing tests, sports physicals, and more. Registration is required for vaccines.

Seniors ages 65+ can receive assistance filing applications to N.J. property tax relief programs on Jul. 30 in Bloomfield. Assistance is from 1-5 p.m. at the Bloomfield Civic Center. Representatives will assist with completing the state’s combined application, called PAS-1, that encompasses Senior Freeze, Anchor, and Stay NJ. Government photo ID is required. File by Nov. 2.
