Bloomfield school board introduces $152 million budget for 2026-27

Bloomfield school board approved a preliminary $152 million budget for 2026-27 during a meeting on Mar. 24. The school district is projected to receive $49,978,624 in state aid, which is a 3% decrease compared to the year before. The preliminary budget will include a salary freeze for directors and non-affiliated staff as well as a reduction in expenditures for supplies, subscriptions, technology, and supplemental programs. The proposed tax impact for Bloomfield residents is calculated at $79.64 per $100,000 of assessed value. The budget will be adopted on Apr. 28 after a public hearing.
