Newark Central Planning Board approved a six-story housing project from The Gomes Group

Newark Central Planning Board approved a six-story housing project with 225 apartments from developer The Gomes Group. The building will have a ground floor for retail, 85 parking spaces, and outdoor garden, and rooftop amenities. Of the 225 units, 106 will be studios, 99 one-bedroom apartments, and 20 two-bedrooms. 45 units will be listed as affordable housing under Newark’s inclusionary zoning law. It will be located at 16-18 Oliver St. and 330-338 Mulberry St.
