South Orange adopts $48 million budget for 2025

South Orange adopted the 2025 municipal budget, or spending plan, amounting to about $48 million, with a municipal property tax increase of 3.99%. The $48 million budget will fund municipal services, like public works, parks and recreation, and health workers. Property owners can expect an average tax cost of approximately $6,300, a year-to-year increase of $255.35 per homeowner.
