South Orange 2024 general election unofficial results for school board race, water referendum

Essex County Clerk’s office released unofficial 2024 general election results for SOMA’s school board race and a ballot referendum in South Orange. Deirdre Brown, Jeff Bennett, and Bimal Kapadia won school board seats with 9,591, 8,986, and 8,053 votes, respectively. A majority of South Orange voters approved a measure to sell the village’s water utility to New Jersey American Water Company with 4,448 votes.
