South Orange Downtown to host a free “Under Cover Music Fest” on Jun. 1. The event, scheduled from 2-10 p.m. at Sloan Street Parking Lot, will feature free live music performances, food for sale from local restaurants, and a beer garden. Preregistration is not required. Add to 📅.

West Orange plans a free street fair on Jun. 1. The event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street. It will include art and food vendors, performances, classic car shows, a beer and wine garden, and free admission to the Thomas Edison Museum. Add to 📅.

Registered voters can cast an early 2024 primary election ballot starting May 29. The in-person early voting period ends Jun. 2. Mail-in ballots are accepted on or before election day, Jun. 4. Essex County has ten in-person early voting locations, addresses for each location are available online.
