Environmental Protection Agency seeks community feedback for a proposed $15.8 cleanup at the Riverside Industrial Park Superfund Site in Newark’s North Ward by May 16. The site has been contaminated by accidental spills, illegal dumping, and improper waste disposal, according to the EPA. In 2013, it was on the agency’s Superfund “National Priority List” of worst polluters. The new plan seeks to dig up and remove lead-contaminated soil, assess vapors, and reinforce a bulkhead along the river. Feedback can be submitted by email.

The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program is open to seniors whose gross income is is equal to or less than the income poverty guidelines.
