Newark plans a city-wide “Drive Up and Go” food distribution on Apr. 17. There will be 1,000 food boxes available on Chestnut Street and Hennessey Street starting at 10 a.m.. Boxes include fruit, vegetables, and chicken. Walk-ups welcome at the corner of Chestnut and Hennessey Streets. Interested volunteers can contact the city by phone or email.
