Newark City Council pausing expansion of Newark Museum of Art development over concerns about conditions at other L+M Development Partner projects

From TAPinto Newark.

Newark City Council is pausing the expansion of the Newark Museum of Art over concerns about poor living conditions at a low-income housing development run by the same developer, L+M Development Partners. The proposed museum project, called Museum Parc, plans to add 250 apartments and commercial space in downtown Newark, but the council is withholding its tax incentive for the developers until improvements are made at Georgia King Village. The council is expected to revisit the tax incentive matter at its next meeting on Apr. 10.
