Newark residents outside of the South Ward are in N.J.’s 29th legislative district, where state senate and assembly seats are up for election in 2023. In-person early voting for the 2023 general election will be held from Oct. 28 to Nov. 5. Essex County residents can access their district’s ballot at any of the county’s 10 early voting locations.
