Newark city council updates law regulating operating hours for barbershops and beauty salons at Oct. 18 meeting. The businesses can now be open Sunday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with closures required during eight major holidays.
