Registration is open for Newark Recreation’s after school enrichment program for children in grades K-12, with programs in literacy, homework assistance, arts and crafting, and board games available Tuesday to Friday.

Orange’s 2023 “Tour de Parks” historic bike tour will be held at Monte Irvin Park on Oct. 21. The event is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and registration is available on Orange recreation’s website. Free helmets will be available for those participating in the morning’s bike safety program. Add to 📅.

New Jersey Citizen Action is available to conduct free virtual or in-person workshops on fair housing rights and discrimination for local organizations. Workshops can be customized to respond to serve particular needs, including dealing with sexual harassment or discrimination against immigrants, Muslims, formerly incarcerated people, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, and other groups. Workshops are available in English and in Spanish.
