The Jersey Bee team spends dozens of hours every week following what’s happening in the communities we serve to report useful local news that makes it easier for people to know what’s happening in their community and access resources and connections that improve their quality of life.

But we don’t see everything! That’s why we also rely on community submissions to bring our attention to things we may have missed.

Apply to join the Civic Media Corps

The Jersey Bee’s Civic Media Corps recruits, trains, and pays local residents to produce media that meets civic news and information needs.

Civic Media Corps members include public meeting documenters, canvassers and interviewers, Q&A reporters, freelance reporters and designers, and more. Apply for an open role in the Civic Media Corps or to be considered for freelance reporting or other opportunities as they become available.
