Free chess lessons for ages 10-14 planned with Newark Chess Club starting Jul. 22 in Newark. It meets Tuesdays from 4-6 p.m. through Aug. 19. The event is hosted by Newark police and will be held at the William Mobile Ashby Community and Training Center, 695 Bergen St. Open to all skill levels. Free snacks and refreshments will be available. Registration is required online.
