
“Letter by Letter Penpal Program Kickoff” for students in grades 2-6 planned with Maplewood library on Sep. 23 in the Main Branch. It is from 5-6 p.m. Letter by Letter is a nonprofit that promotes literacy through writing letters. The program runs for six weeks and pairs participants with high school volunteers. They practice letter-writing and reading comprehension. Registration is required.
