East Orange plans a memorial celebration on Nov. 23 honoring the life of actor John Amos who died at 84. He was born in Newark and raised in East Orange. The tribute begins at 4 p.m. at Cicely L. Tyson Community School of Performing and Fine Arts. Free tickets available online.
