National Weather Service issued a cold weather advisory for N.J. in effect through Jan. 28. The advisory comes after N.J. saw 14-17 inches of snow on Jan. 25, with towns in Bergen, Morris, and Passaic counties reporting at least 16 inches of snow. There will be wind chills and temperatures below zero for several nights this week, according to the advisory. People should take precautions to stay warm and avoid prolonged exposure to wind chills. “Empowered Teen Wellness Day” planned with Rutgers 4-H Youth Development on Feb. 21 at Rutgers-New Brunswick. It is open to youth in grades 8-12 and recent high school graduates. Attendees will learn about stress management skills, identify their strengths, and connect with their peers. It is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch provided.
