Town hall on property tax revaluations planned Sep. 22 in Newark’s West Ward

From Newark City.

Newark residents can learn about property tax revaluations during a town hall with Newark’s tax assessment team on Sep. 22 in the West Ward. A revaluation assesses the property taxes of a home based on the home’s market price. It attempts to remove inequities that affect property taxes, such as location, zoning changes, and economic changes. The town hall begins at 6 p.m. at Speedway Elementary School. Questions are welcome.
