West Orange Mayor McCartney appointed herself as town acting business administrator

West Orange Mayor Susan McCartney appointed herself as the township’s acting business administrator, effective immediately. The appointment follows the retirement of James Abbott, West Orange’s former business administrator. West Orange’s municipal code, or laws, allows the mayor to temporarily fill township vacancies for 60 days or less.
