West Orange revaluation tax estimates set to take effect by Feb. 10

From West Orange Township.

West Orange taxpayers should expect a letter from the township notifying them of their new home assessments and property tax estimates, set to take effect by Feb. 10. The numbers were decided after the township conducted a revaluation, which assesses the property taxes of a home based on the home’s market price. Estimated tax amounts do not account for property tax relief, including veterans’ deduction, ANCHOR rebate, and the Senior Freeze program. Taxpayers can raise concerns or questions to Professional Property Appraisers by phone or schedule a one-on-one meeting at West Orange library through Feb. 1.
