Free seminar on consumer fraud protection planned by Belleville on Dec. 4. It is from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Belleville Senior Center. The seminar will discuss ways to identify different IRS, identity theft, and lottery scams. The event is available in English and Spanish.

Drivers entering New York City will be charged a $9 toll when entering Manhattan south of 60th Street, effective Jan. 5. The fee is part of the Federal Highway Administration’s congestion pricing plan, which will use funds collected from tolls to support upgrades to New York’s transit system. The toll will incrementally increase in coming years until it reaches $15 in 2031.
