N.J. child care funding to total more than $140 million for facility improvements, enrollment expansion

Gov. Phil Murphy announced plans to dedicate an additional $17 million of federal funds to the state’s Child Care Facilities Improvement Program, totaling to more than $140 million. Funds will support infrastructure and improvement projects across state child care facilities, including West Orange’s The Kids Palace II. The child care center was approved for a $189,300 grant to install sprinkler and alarm systems and to expand its state license to accept infants.
