Essex County voters can return mail-in ballots through secure ballot drop box locations throughout Essex County by Nov. 5. Secure ballot drop boxes are open 24 hours a day and until 8 p.m. on election day. A full list of ballot drop box locations is available online. Mail-in ballots can also be mailed directly to the county board of elections as long as it is postmarked on or before 8 p.m. on election day.
