Essex County Parks plans a free fishing derby for youth under age 15 on May 30 in West Orange. The event is from 5-7:30 p.m. at South Mountain Recreation Complex. Children are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, bait, and chairs. There is no rain date. Prizes will be awarded.
