NJDEP awards Orange and Newark $850,000 for tree management

Orange and Newark each received $850,000 grants for tree management from the N.J. Department of Environmental Protection. The department awarded $8.7 million to ten N.J. communities as part of its “Leafing Out” program. Funds are expected to be used for tree planting, forest management, and tree maintenance.
