Dan Fraginals was swore in to the Nutley Board of Education on Feb. 26 as a trustee. Fraginals is filling a vacant seat on the nine-member board following Ken Reilly’s resignation. Fraginals term will end in Nov. 2024.

Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair seeks donations of diapers and wipes. Donations can be dropped off at 9 Label St. on Tuesdays and Thursdays or sent directly from Amazon.

NJSDA is accepting enrollment for its youth summer theater program for grades 3-12 n Montclair. Programs run from Jul. 22 to Aug. 16 and will include classes in acting, improv, television and film, and musical theater. All classes are at St. John’s Episcopal Church. A federal appeals judge recently ruled that students at Rutgers do not have a “fundamental right” to refuse a COVID vaccine for reasons that are not medical or religious. The decision follows a lawsuit filed by more than a dozen Rutgers students after the university added the vaccine to its list of required vaccinations. A federal court in N.J. dismissed the suit in 2022.
