Maplewood Middle School is accepting video auditions for its “2024 Black History Month Oratory Contest” by Feb. 16. Participants recite a poem or speech written by a Black author or themselves. Students will be judged by articulation, presence, poise, logical flow, and following the “voices that change the world” theme. Finalists announced on Feb. 20.
