Studio Montclair extends deadline for artwork submission for its “Black & White Imprint” exhibition beginning Jan. 26. Artists can submit works that evoke personal or collective memory in celebration of Black History Month. The new deadline for submissions is Dec. 23.

New Jersey taxation division offers in-person assistance to residents applying to ANCHOR, a state-funded property tax relief program for homeowners and renters. Appointment times are weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at Newark Regional Information Center, 124 Halsey St. Eligible residents should bring relevant tax documents and a government-issued ID. The final day to apply for ANCHOR is Dec. 29. Appointments can be scheduled online.

A steer was captured on camera running on NJ Transit tracks in Newark Penn Station on December 14. The animal was sedated and taken to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue. It is not known where the steer came from or how it ended up on the tracks.
