Irvington library’s 2026 summer reading program starts on Jun. 22. Children in preschool to 5th grade can participate and earn prizes after reading a certain number of books. All participants will be entered into a raffle to win an e-reader.

Mobile office hours with Rep. LaMonica McIver planned on Jun. 22 in East Orange. McIver and her team will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Orange public library to provide casework and passport assistance, share resources, and answer questions.

“Kitchen Gardens” program planned for all ages with Essex County Environmental Center on Jun. 20 in Roseland. Attendees will learn how to start and maintain a kitchen herb garden. Each attendee will leave with a potted starter garden. The program is from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is available online.

New Jersey residents and visitors can collect pins at historical sites around the state as part of Revolution NJ’s history pinned program. Visitors to five historical sites around New Jersey can collect one of five pins designed by a local artist at each historical site until Oct. 30. The full list of sites is available online.
