Tortellini cooking class for students in grades K-12 planned at East Orange library on Jun. 15. It is from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Limited to first 12 attendees. Registration is not required.

Opening reception of art exhibit “Troublemakers” planned with Maplewood arts and culture on Jun. 13. It is from 2-5 p.m. at 1978 Maplewood Arts Center. The exhibit will explore queer identity and belonging. There will be light refreshments. It is on display on weekends through Jun. 28.

Grand opening of Newark library’s N.J. Hispanic Research and Information Center is scheduled on Jun. 13 in the Main Branch. It is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center includes more than 75 archival collections of the state’s Latine communities.

New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission now accepts electronic documents for REAL ID applications in an attempt to streamline the appointment process. There are also new appointments added to NJMVC offices in Trenton, Medford, South Brunswick and Springfield, which previously did not accept REAL ID appointments. REAL ID is required to board domestic flights, enter nuclear power plants, and enter some federal buildings. Applicants must bring two proofs of residential address, one proof of Social Security Number, and six points of ID. REAL ID cards are $35.
