Essex County Clerk’s office released unofficial 2026 municipal election results for Belleville. Frank Velez won the mayor’s seat with 3,255 votes. Michelle Rodriguez and Danyale Wells won council-at-large seats with 3,095 and 2,948 votes.

“The Magic Music of Broadway” performance planned with Montclair YMCA on May 20. It begins at 11 a.m. at 25 Park St. Lunch from the Montclair Diner provided. Non-YMCA members must show valid government ID. Registration is required. Free admission.

Helping Others Move Equitably (HOME) fundraiser supporting The Warehouse NJ is scheduled on Jun. 5 in Short Hills. It will tour five homes in Short Hills from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and discuss its history and features. Raised funds will support The Warehouse’s work around furnishing houses for homeless people.
