Stage production of “Private Lives” planned with Maplewood division of arts and culture starting Mar. 12. Performances run through Mar. 22 at Burgdorff Theater, 10 Durand Rd. Tickets are available online for purchase.

JESPY House, located at 111 Milligan Pl. in South Orange, will be demolished for a new, expanded building. It will be a three-story, mixed-use site with five residential units for adults with disabilities. It will also include administrative offices and support space for the organization. A timeline is not yet announced.

Gov. Mikie Sherrill appointed Jeanne Hengemuhle to superintendent of N.J. State Police. Hengemuhle will replace Lt. Col. David Sierotowicz, who has been serving as interim superintendent since Jan. 1. She has worked within the state police for 26 years. The superintendent of state police appoints officers, trains members, creates ranks, and adopts rules for discipline.
