Belleville-area children ages 2-8 can register for a soccer development program with Excellence Soccer Touch. Participants develop skills based on their age group. The program runs through Mar. 20. Mikie Sherrill was sworn in as N.J.’s 57th governor and second woman governor on Jan. 20. The inauguration took place at NJPAC in Newark and was followed by an inaugural ball at American Dream Mall in East Rutherford. Dale Caldwell was also sworn in as N.J. lieutenant governor. During her inauguration, Sherrill signed an executive order to expand Phil Murphy’s credit program to offset utility costs. It is unclear what each ratepayer will be issued, but the order directs the N.J. Board of Public Utilities to issue credits by Jul. 1.
