Stage production of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” planned with Nutley recreation on Dec. 4-6. Performances begin at 7 p.m. at Nutley High School. Tickets are available online for purchase.

Vincent Church Care Pantry seeks donations, including paper towels, toilet paper, and household cleaners. Additional accepted donations are laundry detergent, dish detergent, toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant. Items can be dropped off weekdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 100 Vincent Pl. in Nutley.

Essex County residents can register for English for Speakers of Other Languages online classes starting Dec. 4 at Maplewood library. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the library’s Hilton Branch every Thursday until Dec. 18. Registration is also from 1-3 p.m. at 90 Broad St. in Bloomfield on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Beginner and intermediate classes are from January to March. Students must show two forms of ID and have a Gmail account to register. Registration is $25.

People seeking shelter can visit participating facilities at YMCA of Newark and Vicinity located at 600 Broad St. in Newark, Joi’s Angels located at 114 S. Arlington Ave. in East Orange, and Irvington Neighborhood Improvement Corp. located at 346 16th Ave. in Irvington. A complete list is available at NJ 211’s website.

New Jersey will hold a special primary election on Feb. 5 to fill Mikie Sherrill’s vacancy in the 11th congressional district, according to a writ of election. The district includes parts of Morris, Essex, and Passaic counties. The special general election is Apr. 16. Partisan candidates must file their nominating petitions by Dec. 1 and independent candidates must file to run by Feb. 5.
