Newark public schools students in grade 8 can apply to attend New Media High School next school year. New Media High School’s offerings will prepare students for careers in video media production, content creation, and entertainment management, according to Newark Superintendent of Schools Roger León. It will be located at the former site of Dayton Street Elementary School in the South Ward, and next to where Lionsgate Studios Newark is anticipated to be built. The district is also hiring teachers to work at the high school.
