Newark’s West Ward Food Hub provides free food to residents, SNAP recipients

Free food available to Newark’s West Ward residents at Speedway Academies, 701 South Orange Ave. The West Ward Food Hub was created by Urban League of Essex County, UVSO Newark, and the city of Newark in response to the federal pause in SNAP funding. The food hub is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 12-5 p.m. SNAP recipients will receive priority.
